Did you know that Word has one central tool where you can set up page orientation, margins, paper types, and other page options? The Page Setup tool has lots of options to help you customize the way your document looks and the way it will print.
You should set Page Setup options before you even start typing so Word can format your document correctly. As well, Page Setup options are set per document, so you can apply special settings to any document without worrying about messing up your other documents. They are also saved with your document, so you only have to apply them once.
To open the Page Setup tool, click the File menu and click Page Setup. The Page Setup box has three tabs: Margins, Paper, and Layout. Each tab has a lot of options, so let’s take a closer look at each one of them.
