Lesson 2.5: Changing Text's Position

   

 

 

Tabs are pre-defined places within your document. They can help you place text quickly and consistently.

 

There are five types of tabs:

 

Left Tabs

If you use this type of tab, your text will start at this point and flow to the right.

Right Tabs

Your text will start at this point and flow to the left when you use this type of tab.

 

Centre Tabs

If you use this type of tab, your text is centred around this point.

Decimal Tabs

Use this tab to align numbers around a decimal point.

Bar Tabs

These tabs are the only type that doesn’t affect text. It just places a vertical bar at the point of the tab.
