Did you know that
you can use the keyboard to select text too? This can be a much quicker
way of selecting items once you get used to Microsoft Word. For most of
these methods, we’ll be using the special keys in the middle of your
keyboard (Home, End, and the Arrow keys).
Here’s a list of
how to select different items:

letter to the left of your cursor |

letter to the right of your cursor |

Remember that you
can use combinations of these keys. For example, you could hold Control
and Shift and press the Up Arrow twice to select the two paragraphs
above your cursor. The easiest way to get good at selecting is to
practice and use different methods, to find out what works for you.
We’re going to practice selecting at the end of this lesson, so don’t
worry if all the methods don’t make sense right now. |
